GMHC is a wonderful recruiting venue for connecting with people who are interested in a wide variety of missions service: whether that be short-term trips, or 3 months to 2 years or long-term commitments. GMHC is also a great place to meet vendors who have services or products that enhance your ministries overseas. It's a domestic venue for international continuing education related to missions topics in underserved and needy populations around the world. We have lost count of the number of providers we have engaged with at GMHC who then served in some capacity at our hospitals and facilities.

We wholeheartedly believe in GMHC's mission to bring people together to advance the Kingdom through medical missions. Every person comes to GMHC with a purpose, and every year, God equips attendees, exhibitors, and speakers to answer questions and direct steps. Some of my favorite times at this conference are when someone comes to our booth with a need that we're able to meet as a pharmaceutical wholesaler. The connection which this forms lasts and lasts, because what happens in that moment goes onto affect thousands of people all over the world. But it’s not just the lives of those people that the medicine touches; rather, it’s their hearts that are eternally changed.

One key aspect of our institution’s mission is to transform healthcare globally through our graduates. We believe so strongly in this mission that we require each of our students to complete a medical missions experience during their tenure in our program. Since 2016, we have brought our students to GMHC each year. GMHC helps us to advance our mission by introducing our first-year pharmacy students to what medical missions look like. GMHC allows them to network with other like-minded individuals, discover missions opportunities, and learn about God’s plan for their lives.
Likeminded Individuals Coming Together
Christian Emergency Relief Teams (CERT) International
GMHC is a wonderful event that brings likeminded individuals together with the goal of creating connections that will transform the world. CERT International has been attending the conference for 10 years. It is a joy to see relationships grow over time and to share our mission with new people. The exposure that we receive through this partnership is a blessing not only to us as an organization, but also to the people we serve in the nations.
Personally, I love seeing how individual relationships are cultivated through introduction at GMHC, which leads to interest in a trip, a decision to go, and ultimately results in lives transformed for the glory of God. I’m thankful to be part of an event that seeks to build up people and organizations while keeping Jesus at the center.

Having been involved with MEI for 25 years as an Advisory Council Member and 10 years as chair, I consider GMHC one of the highlights of the year. After attending more than 20 years, I find it not only a prime venue for recruiting for MEI but also for networking with friends and organizations involved in global missions. The plenary sessions and workshops provide excellent preparation and insights into global missions. Being able to participate by offering workshops has allowed me to share my passion for using healthcare education to serve the Lord.
