This past June, In Jesus Name Medical Ministry sent a team of 26 dedicated members to Guatemala on a journey of hope, healing, and divine encounters. Ranging in age from 12 to 81, the team represented three states and ten churches, epitomizing unity and purpose.

In just four days, this team built not only two houses but also bridges of hope. They attended to 1,600 patients, provided 120 eye exams, and distributed hundreds of pairs of reading glasses. Blessings International was happy to have a part in over 10,000 pills dispensed, each one a small act of love and care.

Though they were called to Guatemala to be the hands and feet of Jesus by providing excellent medical care, In Jesus Name Medical Ministry would soon behold the power of the great Healer at work.

Andry’s Miracle

Throughout the mission trip, a young deaf and mute boy named Andry endeared himself to the volunteers. After a series of heartfelt prayers, he began to hear and repeat his mother’s words for the first time in his life, serving as a living miracle unfolding before their very eyes. Now under the care of a speech therapist, Andry’s story continues, a testament to the power of faith.

Healed During Prayer

During one poignant moment, team members were offering prayer for a woman with a back issue and limp caused by one leg being shorter than the other. Suddenly, those around witnessed her legs equalize, allowing her to stand and touch her toes for the first time. Her joy was palpable, a vivid reminder that miracles still happen.

Miraculous Provision Days in Advance

The team’s journey was also marked by divine provision. Encountering a family in desperate need of dental care, the trip leaders were initially at a loss, as they lacked a dentist. However, a donation received before the trip provided the funds necessary for antibiotics, pain relief, and eventually the dental procedures the family needed. This foresight and generosity ensured that the family’s needs were met, exemplifying God's care and planning.

Of all the miracles on this trip, the most miraculous were the 200+ salvations and 11 baptisms, each one, a heart turning toward the light of Christ.

The work of In Jesus Name Medical Ministries extends far beyond their physical presence in these communities. They remain in touch, providing follow-up care and support, ensuring that the seeds planted during their trip continue to grow and flourish. We pray for continued lives to be transformed by their unwavering faith and dedication.
